Our 60th Anniversary celebration turned out to be a fantastic day and a fitting tribute to all our past and present members over the last 60 years.
The Lakeside Events Centre proved to be a great location, and the staff looked after us extremely well.
A special thank you to our original charter member, Roy Parker; Rita O’Brien, a long-time member and partner of an original charter member; and John Gurr, who has given an incredible 52 years of service to our club.
We also acknowledge the many past presidents, partners and members who have contributed so much to our club over the years. Your dedication and service have helped make our club what it is today.
Thank you to you all. And a very special thank you to everyone who attended and supported this wonderful celebration.

Our club extend our gratitude to our members, past and present, who over the years have contributed to our work in the community. Rotary International's reputation throughout the world is outstanding, but even more outstanding are the efforts of our local members in recognising the community's needs and responding accordingly.
Over the years, volunteerism may have declined, but the results of Rotary have increased - a testament to the dedication, commitment and determination of members such as those within our club.
Congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the start of the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk, and here's to the next 60 years.

This Wednesday’s meeting, 12th August, will be a club night as our guest Andrea Metcalf was unable to attend; however, I understand she will be joining us on another night. We look forward to her attending.
EFNC gate duty: I believe our next and last gate duty will be on Saturday 22nd August. We will be looking for some volunteers to finish off the season.
Thanks to John Gurr, Carmel Fitzpatrick, Gary Frank and our other volunteers who have attended over the last couple of weeks to keep the books flowing out the door at the Rotary Book Shop, especially as last Saturday clashed with our 60th Birthday Celebrations.
Bookshop Roster for Saturday the 15th of August is John Gurr and Lynne Cooper.
For all those members involved, or interested, a youth committee meeting will be held directly after the meeting this week with Lynne Cooper.
